A new setup with a dish and HD box starts at ₹2,190. The ₹1,899 Porting Offer — One-Month Pack is for other DTH customers with a compatible dish only, not existing Tata Play customers. The most popular HD Dhamaka Pack costs ₹3,390 and includes the dish antenna, HD set-top box, cables, professional installation, and ₹3,600 recharge balance. The Binge+ 4K Android box is also ₹3,390 with complete installation.
Tata Play installation usually happens within 2–4 hours of booking in most areas of Tamil Nadu. Book before 4 PM for same-day installation, subject to local slot availability. The physical installation takes 30–45 minutes for a standard setup and 45–60 minutes for Binge+ 4K with Wi-Fi configuration.
Standard installation is included with every Tata Play plan at no additional charge — dish mounting, cable routing and signal alignment, with up to 8 metres of cable. Beyond that, Tata Play charges ₹15 per metre, and special mounting or other non-standard work may carry a charge. Anything outside the standard installation is explained and quoted before the technician starts, never added afterwards.
Yes, cash on delivery (COD) is accepted for all Tata Play plans. You can also pay via UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), debit/credit card, or bank transfer. Payment is collected by the technician after installation is complete.
Tata Play HD is a standard high-definition set-top box that plays live DTH channels in 1080i quality. Binge+ 4K is a 4K Android set-top box that plays live DTH channels AND runs OTT apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ Hotstar. Binge+ also includes Google Assistant voice control, built-in Chromecast, and 7-day catch-up TV. Both cost ₹3,390 for the complete installation.
Yes, Tata Sky and Tata Play are the same DTH service. Tata Sky was rebranded to Tata Play in February 2022. All Tata Sky set-top boxes, subscriptions, and services continue to work under the Tata Play brand without any changes. The channel lineup, app, and customer service remain identical.
You need a valid address proof (Aadhaar card, passport, voter ID, or utility bill) and one passport-size photograph. Our technician collects these during installation. For porting, you also need your old DTH subscriber ID. No photocopies needed — we capture everything digitally.
